TRYOUT INFORMATION

 

Tryout Times

Boys 4th/5th/6th Grade - 10:00am-11:20am

Boys 7th/8th Grade - 11:20am-12:40pm

Boys High School - 12:40pm - 2:00pm

 

Registration Requirements and Expectations

A $10.00 Tryout Fee is due prior to the day of tryouts. Our tryout fee is non-refundable, so please do not register if your player is uncertain about attending. Walk-Ins will not be accepted.  For inquiries or questions about the registration process, please email us at info@floridaroyals.com. If you are unable to make the scheduled tryout, please email us @ info@floridaroyals.com and we will do our best to make arrangements for your player to tryout at a later date/time. No personnel will be permitted in the tryout gym except for players, coaches and evaluators.  Parents will be expected to wait in the lobby area, or you may pick up your child at the appointed time. This will be strictly enforced.

 

Elementary Teams

Our 4th & 5th Grade teams will participate in local tournaments only.

 

Middle School & High School Teams

For our Middle School and High School Teams, we will be offering two divisions - Local & National Teams.

 

Local Teams - Our "Local" Teams will compete in local tournaments only.

National Teams - Our Local Teams will compete on the PUMA CIRCUIT. Out-of-state travel will be required. We will be holding team fundraisers to help with the financial commitment necessary. Our National Schedule will be released to those who make the team.

 

Player Notification Process

During the Check-in process, each participant will be assigned a number. Upon completion of tryouts and subsequent evaluations, rosters will be posted on our website under the "Team Results" button. Players will be listed by the numbers assigned to them. Those who do not make a roster will not necessarily be notified directly. However, if you wish to receive specific feedback on your child's performance at our tryouts and what factors were considered in the decision making process you may contact Academy President, Miguel Baruso at info@floridaroyals.com. He will direct your inquiry to the appropriate person for a response.
